I particularly like the page from the 2005 "I Do Solemnly Swear..." exhibition at the Library of Congress that shows just one primary source per president. That would make it easy for a teacher to assign a single president per student or perhaps for students in pairs depending on your numbers. What can they learn from each primary source, and what can they find to fill in their understanding through a secondary source? The teacher could use the exhibition item page as a slide show, either on Zoom or in a face-to-face classroom, and students would then talk for 3-5 minutes about their new understandings.
Great information! On the "I Do Solemnly Swear..." list of presidents, after you click on a president, did you notice the "facts" about those inaugurations? There is some very interesting information in there. I think there is a glitch though...click on Harry Truman. However, I chatted with a reference librarian, and they said, "My goodness!" and it would be fixed today or tomorrow.
