Find out how  Tom Bober plans to use this primary source set with students in this post on Knowledge Quest from the American Association of School Librarians: Pairing Picture Books and Primary Sources: Her Right Foot by Dave Eggers. Great stuff!  literacy primary source analysis Pre K - 2 picture books

Julie Schaul , you beat me to it. Busy day yesterday and I didn't get an opportunity to post here. Thanks!

Tom Bober , this is one of my favorite books--on my favorite American icon! I'd like to build on your Album, integrating my own sources and teaching notes.

I'm sure that Kile Clabaugh mentioned that this was a function of the Album tool, but I don't see how to do that. Can you help? Is it the way the Album was created (private, perhaps, rather than collaborative)? Or am I just overlooking how to do it?  AlbumHelp

Hmmm... As a rule of thumb I don't make these albums collaborative so that I don't have extra things to keep track of. Goodness knows I can barely keep track of what I'm putting up here! But I'm wondering if  Kile Clabaugh has a suggestion on this. Can an album be copied as a starting point for another's work?

I tried downloading as a Word doc, but the images didn't transfer. We'll see if  Kile Clabaugh has ideas.

    Sue,

The Word export is currently not available. Would it be possible to use the PDF download as a workaround?

    Sue,

Your idea about branching an album to create your own version is something that's the administrative team has been investigating.  It's been a slow process because it involves some fairly major changes to album tool.  Long story short - stay tuned.
