    Washington public schools go to war. The public schools of Washington, D.C., like those in most other sections of the country, have revised their curricula to fit the pupils for fuller participation in the war effort. They have gone all-out for the Program of Civilian Defense which includes conserving of materials and wearing apparel. Members of the art and crafts class at Armstrong High School have made jewelry and many other articles from scrap and discarded materials.     These are wonderful primary source images   Jodi Sabra !  Thanks for pulling them together in an Album. 

    This intriguing set of photographs made me think of the often used professional development question, "In what ways do classrooms look the same or different today?" One thing for sure, the models have changed in college-level classes! 

    My husband and daughter are both artists. I think I'll send them the COPY SHAREABLE URL version of this album so they can enjoy it outside the TPS Teachers Network, too.
