This week I attended the Montana Historical Society - Montana History Conference.  This year's conference is being held in Butte Montana.  One of the speakers, Dr. Doug Ammons, gave us a tour of Butte that was  connected to the mine disaster.  It was riveting.

This album will be a collection of primary and secondary sources about the disaster.

Dr. Doug Ammons, author of "A Darkness Lit by Heroes: the Granite Mountain - Speculator Mine Disaster of 1917.  In 2018 he received the High Plains Book Award for creative nonfiction.
