4th through 6th grade Educators -- this one is just for your students!

As the National Archives celebrates the centennial of women’s suffrage through its Rightfully Hers exhibit, this youth competition (for students in grades 4, 5 and 6) will honor the milestone achievement while encouraging young people to think about what the 19th Amendment and the path to Universal Suffrage means to them.

Be certain to pair this competition with the fantastic resources from the Library!

Wonderful opportunity for students!  Thanks for sharing.

Also for students beyond the 6th grade a teacher could create their own contest and have student use digital tools to make an augmented reality pop-up museum using these important primary sources.

Michelle Zupan , do you know of any current competitions/projects focusing on the 19th Amendment that would be available to high school students? Thanks very much!

National History Day is ALWAYS a great one for high school students.  Schools can have their own school-wide competition -- with a suffrage theme -- and then send those winners on to the regional competition.

There is this essay contest:  https://www.scholarships.com/financial-aid/college-scholarships/scholarship-directory/deadline/deadline-in-august/womans-right-to-vote-essay-contest

Unfortunately, the DAR had their 19th Amendment essay contest in 2018-2019!

    Thank you so much!
