The Album is interesting I am especially attracted to the Home Economics education classroom and the booklet about food and nutrition. The book provided information about the Agricultural and Home Economics agents and their role in educating people about food and nutrition. I can't help but remember how this carried over into high school economics classes I took in the 60's. Thee was also County Extension agent provided assistance to farmers and homemakers. Now we often see the food portion of assistance being offered to people who are disadvantaged economically or because of living in an area without good grocery stories. Some of the needs depicted in the "Worst Hard Time" still exist.
Many of these are new to me. I will be sure to include them in my next presentation on the Dust Bowl days
Kira Duke I work closely with our Family and Consumer Science faculty, and I can't wait to share this with them. Thanks for the great resources, and the pointer for the really interesting book with so many implications for how we eat today.
