Hi! I direct the Emerging America program at the Collaborative for Educational Services. I have worked in service-learning, civic engagement, and more recently history education for 40 years! I teach several graduate courses as an adjunct for Westfield State University.
Civic Education empowers students with the content and skills to make a difference in the world. This includes meaningful history, understanding of public and private leadership and government, and the capability to investigate issues and develop and carry out actions for the public good. Civic Participation is the end goal of all public education.
