    I remember growing up always reading about this eminent New Yorker who my dad held in very high esteem. New Yorkers knew him, especially with regard to civil rights.  Tremendous personal fortitude and integrity and a man who had the qualities to be admired yet often missing these days.  

    The powerful LOC video on the Bayard Rustin Papers page and Brother Outsider from the Bayard Rustin Film Project are worth a look.

    Thank you  Cheryl Davis , for calling our attention to this remarkable individual who was a man for all seasons but claimed proudly by NYC.
