The movie Green Book is being released over the Thanksgiving holiday. See, for example, this Time magazine article or NPR Saturday morning commentary available for preview.

Now is a good time to revisit the important discussions and sharing of resources which have occurred here on the TPS Teachers Network.

Please add your comments and materials in connection with an historical topic which remains very relevant in 2018.

Thanks  Margaret Lincoln for collecting these links in one post!  I hadn’t heard about the movie so I really appreciate the links to those articles too!  There are so many entry points for student learning about this historic resource.

The film version of Green Book was very powerful and deserving of an Oscar.

It has been fascinating to see several contemporary tie-ins to this primary source document which has been a topic of discussion here on the TPS Teachers Network for several years!

I’m wondering also if anyone saw the documentary on the Smithsonian Channel last night. “The Green Book Guide To Freedom,"  I don’t have an subscription but I’m certainly curious to see it.  Fresh Air NPR did a recent interview of the director Yoruba Richen here.
