"In honor of Blindness Awareness Month, here are six key things every librarian should know about the talking book program." This article from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is aimed at librarians, but all educators will also find useful updates about the program's services. For example, did you know that the talking book program is not just for the blind? It's also available to kids with dyslexia. There's also a mobile app for easy downloading. The talking book service is administered by the National Library Service, a part of the Library of Congress.
