Thank you for reminding us of the Patsy Mink episode of KidCitizen and for adding the links about the American Women on Quarters program of the United States Mint,   Michael Berson . The list of women selected for quarters from 2022 through 2025 would certainly be useful in a classroom research project, and I'm guessing teachers here in the TPS Teachers Network will have some creative and engaging ideas for using the list in Women's History Month projects. Following the links to individual honoree's names, you'll find information about the designers, too - something for art teachers to consider.

Has anyone seen or collected these quarters? I believe that Covid changed my cash habits considerably, so while it was fairly easy to collect state quarters, I'm not sure I've seen the women's quarters!

Thanks for the list of upcoming quarters   Michael Berson ! Wonderful!  An assignment for students might be to select who they might put on a quarter and then either draw the quarter or create some digital “quarter” art.  They might even cut out paper quarters, make a drawing then exchange coins.

Super also to see the Kid Citizen episode on Welcome to Congress and Patsy Mink!  In a digital book I created for Woman’s History Month, Reminders from the Ceiling Breakers I included Congresswoman Mink on a postcard for students to “send.”  Here is the simple animation

Love the quarter assignment Cheryl Davis . Barat did something similar back in 2009 with pennies for the Lincoln Bicentennial. Here's the page from the Abraham Lincoln & Me Activity Book.

    Very nice   Julie Schaul !
