This series from the Aurora Institute came through my email this morning and I thought it would be of interest to folks. While not *specifically* about history/primary sources, each of the installments talks about the current efforts within Indigenous communities and education.

    The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Minnesota has several initiatives to further understandi Native Minnesota. Two are noted here:

    A GUIDE TO RELIABLE NATIVE AMERICAN-RELATED TEACHING RESOURCES: With Reference to Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in English Language Arts. The extensive and curriculum aligned guide  suggests resources for all grades and  guiding questions. by in Indigenous languages and books by indigenous authors in various genres are included. There is also a reference list of  famous (or should be famous)  noteworthy natives. This 147-page PDF is free and jam-packed with information.

    The community is collaborating with the University of Minnesota to launch a free online course,  Indigenous Education for All.  The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is funding the project    More information
