Today's New York Times had a beautiful special section called Perpetual Motion - A Journey Through Dance Photography From the New York Times Archives.
Did you know that the Library has nearly twenty-five digitized collections with primary sources about dance? I've also seen a number of Library of Congress blog posts over the years about dance, including this one from Folklife Today simply called Dance!
As a non-dancer myself, I'm not sure how I would use these resources, but I'd be interested in exploring ways to do just that. I do know that educators in the TPS Teachers Network have many students with a true passion for dance. How can we give them a sense of dance history through primary sources?

Great thoughts Mary. In the coming year, I can approach a dance faculty member at UArts and see if hey might work with the UArts TPS team to put something together. Stay tuned.
