    The Question Formulation Technique (QFT) for Primary Source Learning - To improve 

    Hello Dara,

    Reinforcing what I mentioned when you first posted this QFocus concept, I applaud the provocative, but smart resource you selected--fabulous spark to a fun learning experience!  Regarding your lesson design, I also see value in the peer-to-peer engagement through the circulation technique.  From the teacher's perspective, this will provide you with a great look at contrasting perspectives and that could lead to a bounty of fun follow-on activities such as debate, creative writing, image makeover, etc.  Well done!

    Hi Steve! Thank you so much for your positive feedback! I really enjoyed reading our lesson plan!

    Firstly, I LOVE that quote from things they carry. It's so powerful. I also really liked your plan of having students write the gimkit journal entry around their partners questions. This practice encourages active listening and by extension, learning from one's peer in such an organic way. Another component I love is your adaptation of the see/wonder routine for the categorization instructions. I am going to remember to try that one!! And one last thing, the authentic audience is also great!

    I respect and appreciate the way in which you are honoring veterans; by teaching the next generation to do so.

    steve, sorry, one more thing! i love your suggestion about the image makeover. Have you ever done that? Do you have any resources on that? 

    Also, if you have other follow on activities suggestions, i would love to hear them!! I am new at this! thank you so much!
