This album explores how poetry can be used to engage thought on scientific/historical concepts.
You can tie in photographs/illustrations of the topics of each poem to supplement learning, and use the compare and contrast learning strategy.
Dhruv, I am so looking forward to what source you find for this album as your role as a TPS Intern unfolds. I am especially intrigued that you are looking for connections between poetry and scientific concepts as well as historic. My usual first goto place at loc.gov to start searching for a new TPS project is the TPS Blog. But with your topic, I would recommend the Science Collections Blog, Inside Adams. One of their posts, Emily Dickinson and the Science of Poetry has great suggestions for teachers and links to primary sources.
Hi Dhruv! What a fun topic to explore!! Have you thought about touching on illuminated manuscripts at all? I found this really neat one for Geoffrey Chaucer's works: https://www.loc.gov/resource/rbc0001.2023rosen2041a/?sp=16&st=image
Could be an additional neat angle to explore, if it fits with your overall objective!
