     Eliel,

You have picked a topic that secondary students will relate to and that can spark discussions about a variety of important historical concepts for WWII and the Korean War.  This is not a topic that we have explored in our Leadership classes so I am excited to see where you take us. Julie's link to the resource set from Today in History is extensive.  Your challenge will be to search inside those collections and primary sources for the performances and the unrepresented performances.

One search strategy that came to mind was to search in the Veteran's History Project Collection, Serving Our Voices for "Camp Shows,"which was a common name for the USO performances during the Korean War. This collection highlights the memories of individual servicemen and women who may have performed in or attended the camp shows.  This research guide for the Veteran's History project will give you more direction.

    Hello Eliel,

I would recommend doing a Personal Narratives search for USO. It does bring up quite a diverse collection, same with film and video.

The Pritzker Military Museum has a nice collection on the USO.  https://www.pritzkermilitary.org/explore/museum/past-exhibits/shes-wow/uso.
