    Hello every one! 

    I hope everyone is having a great end of the school year.

    My name is Kile Clabaugh and I am the Project Coordinator for the Teaching with Primary Sources Western Region. My background is in technology, literacy, ELL, and I studied English and Philosophy.

    I am excited to help put together the TPS Western Region Summer Institute with Peggy O'Neill-Jones   Keith Patterson and  Crystal Payne , along with our trainers,  Michelle Pearson Sherrie Galloway Cynthia Stout , and Roland Schendel . I know it will be a wonderfully engaging and informative event!

    Hi all!

    I just finished my 5th year at Wheat Ridge High school. I currently teach world history, contemporary world issues, and AP microeconomics, and I am so excited to incorporate new resources into my curriculum. I am currently working on my tan :) (it is summer break after all!) but I am looking forward to a few days of working with like minded professionals,who I can collaborate with and create new and engaging lessons to take back to my students in the fall.

    I also teach 5th grade, but I'm in Grand Junction. I've used primary sources before with other grade levels, so I'd love to hear ideas about integrating with 5th grade curriculum.

    My name is Karen Beranek and I am a History and Language Arts teacher in the Bering Strait School District in Alaska. Currently I work as the District's Social Studies and Science Facilitator and am looking forward to creating primary source  lessons for the History teachers k-12 in our district.     My name is Toni Kile. I am going into my third year of teaching at North Valley Middle School, a small school just South of Greeley. While I'm enjoying the summer sun, I'm looking forward to developing new lessons that will engage my students. I want them to geek out over American History the way I do!

    Hello!  My name is Kerri Geppert and I am a teacher librarian at Central Middle School of Science in Anchorage, Alaska.  I work with teachers in all content areas as well as teaching technology and information literacy.  I am really interested in developing science content lessons using primary sources.  I'm looking forward to seeing some new mountains.

    My name is Cappi Castro and I am the Teacher-Librarian for Ouray School in Colorado.  I have been working on a primary source lesson on the history of the Pledge of Allegiance for YEARS!!  I hope to refine it and share it with others.  I am also interested in seeing what I can find on primary sources from Ouray and surrounding areas.  I am very excited to attend this institute!
