Hi Katy,
Having problems getting good copies of the images for the QFT lesson. They are Herb Block political cartoons.
Chicago citation style:

Chicago citation style:
Mauldin, Bill, Artist. "Not all forms of wildlife are adversely affected by pollution". , 1964. [publication date] Photograph. https://www.loc.gov/item/2016686685/ .

Chicago citation style:
Block, Herbert, Artist. "There goes the entire neighborhood" / Herblock. , 1973. Photograph. https://www.loc.gov/item/2012647253/ .

Any idea or suggestion of how to get better copies? They are coming through as thumbnail and pixilated.
John Suter , the reason you cannot get good images is because of the copyright restrictions on all Herblock cartoons, unfortunately. I'm sure you've noticed that you cannot view them at full size on the Library of Congress site. I've known some people who've tried searching Google for the same images, but of course, that's an iffy approach, especially for a librarian like me! If you go to the copyright notice on the Herblock pages or individual cartoons, you might find a way of contacting the copyright owner.
All of the Herblock and Bill Mauldin cartoons are copyright protected so you would need permission from the copyright holder to access higher quality images to use in your classroom.
Information for Bill Mauldin cartoons can be found at https://www.loc.gov/rr/print/res/172_maul.html. Information for Herblock can be found at https://www.loc.gov/rr/print/res/271_herb.html.
Once you have permission from the estates you can contact the Prints and Photographs Division directly for assistance.
Best wishes,

John Suter I’ve found if the Cartoons are in a Library of Congress Exhibit you can get a larger view by grabbing the URL that is provided under the image. Then when the user goes to that URL it goes directly to that spot in the Exhibit. Example “On the Beach”: https://www.loc.gov/exhibits/herblock-gallery/herblock-looks-at-1967.html#obj002_12. If you have use of an electronic display in the classroom (to show on a front of room screen) or if students have devices, you or they can access the larger view by tapping on the photo.
