From the lovely The Unique Map of California and other colorful maps shared in this group comes an idea for a back-to-school get to know you activity for either teachers or students.

As we start school students or teachers bring up an online Map program (Apple, Google) of their neighborhood and take a screenshot.  Using Keynote or Slides they add shapes, photographs and drawings (even movies) to personify and personalize their neighborhood experiences.  Primary sources are part of the mix!

Then share out within the class or within you staff.

For practice, create and share a map of your haunts as a post to this album
