In honor of School Library Month, I've created this album for pictures of books and reading. Feel free to add to the album!

How would you use these images as part of your own celebration of School Library Month?

Wonderful pictures   Mary Johnson!  I noticed also that the Library of Congress added some additional photos of reading on their Flicker album Reading which also has a link to a Library of Congress Picture This Blog post by    Kristi Finefield blog: https://blogs.loc.gov/picturethis/2016/09/picturing-a-love-of-reading/?loclr=flik

Thanks for these pictures.  I would use these photos to create a piece about reading as a treasure walk through the school using AR technology to bring the pictures up at places in school or on school grounds that would match the setting in the pictures, or something like that. I have been experimenting with AR and my students just completed our first successful AR assignment.  I think blending primary sources, reading and AR would be a winner.

What a wonderful idea to encourage reading  Susan Allen !  One of our creative librarians,   Mary Walfoort , shares “Knights Readers” images (their high school mascot is a Knight) with the school showing what titles students are reading (photos of students with book).  Combining that with AR would be an additional plus to this already engaging project. What programs did your students use?

Metaverse is the program I have been using.  Create using the desktop program and view on a mobile device using the Metaverse app.
