This is a sort of add on - it's a short film of Teddy Roosevelt at the Jamestown's tercentennial celebration in 1907.  I included this to show students how very long ago Jamestown was settled - I mean, it was 300 years BEFORE Roosevelt went to visit Virginia.

A 6-7 minute introduction video, by EL Education: Core Practices in Education, can be used with elementary learners on how to create a scientific drawing of a butterfly. The video illustrates how various details (colors, shape, and patterns) are important as well as receiving critical feedback from peers (or family) can help improve their scientific drawing.
