I created a Challenge Based Learning framework lesson idea for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service coming up on January 15.  The activity idea is simple, students create digital streetlamp banners to showcase the service they participate in during the Day of Service. The lesson idea is here in the Social Studies section of the Apple Education Community.

Of course that got me into researching in the Library of Congress for primary source streetlights with banners that might work with the framework.  Our TPS Teachers Network Albums are an easy collection, collaboration tool so I’ve placed my findings and additional ideas here. Please add any streetlamp banner or MLK Day of Service primary sources ideas from the Library to this album to share out.
