Paul Revere (printer, took part in Stamp Acts protest, convinced others to help fight against British, helped warn colonial leaders of British troops approaching)
"Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" famous speech which helped motivate others to go against the British
The speech essentially meant that he would rather die than give in to Great Britain/King George's bullying and unfair taxes
"taxation without representation" - no colonists served in the British government (although they were considered citizens) to protest unfair taxes
The French and Indian War cost the British $$$$ so they decided to tax the colonists (even though the war was between an argument over land with France and took place mostly in what is now Canada and northern US states)
